By booking a photography session with Opus Lumière, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.

1. Booking & Payment

A deposit of 50% of the package price is required at the time of booking to secure your chosen date and time.
Your booking is only confirmed once the deposit has been received and a confirmation email has been issued.
The remaining balance is due by the day of the session unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

Opus Lumière understands that plans can change. The following refund and rescheduling policy applies:

15+ days before session start time: 100% deposit refund or free rescheduling.
7–14 days before session: 50% deposit refund or one-time free rescheduling.
3–6 days before session: One-time rescheduling permitted, subject to a 50% rebooking fee (based on original deposit).
Less than 72 hours (3 days) before session: No refund or reschedule available.

Reschedules are subject to availability. If a change is needed because of pregnancy, a new baby or illness, these terms still apply, and you get priority when we rebook. Additional fees may apply for upgrades or location changes. All requests must be submitted in writing to the contact email provided above and must originate from the same email address used during the booking process.

3. Client Responsibilities

Clients must arrive on time for the session. Late arrivals may result in reduced session time or cancellation without refund.
Clients are expected to behave respectfully and follow any reasonable instructions during the session.
For “At Home” sessions, clients must ensure the space is safe and adequately lit for photography. Opus Lumière reserves the right to cancel or refuse service if the environment is unsafe or unsuitable.

4. Delivery of Photos

A private proofing gallery is sent within 2–4 days of your session; your edited photographs follow within 2–4 weeks of your selection, via a secure link.
No physical prints are included unless separately agreed upon.

5. The Growing Gallery (3D Virtual Gallery)

Every session of two hours or more includes a private, password-protected 3D virtual gallery at no additional cost. Sessions shorter than two hours do not include a gallery.
The gallery is private and password-protected. You may share the viewing link and password with family or others so they can view it; it is not publicly listed and is accessible by link and password only.
The gallery is included free for two years from the date of your most recent qualifying session. Each further qualifying session adds a new floor to the same gallery, and booking again within the two years resets the two-year period from the date of the new session.
After two years with no new qualifying session, you may choose to retain the gallery for £49 per year. This is an optional choice made at the point of expiry — no payment is taken up front and the gallery does not renew automatically.
If a gallery is not retained and closes, its images are removed from the gallery server within 30 days. This applies to the online gallery only and does not affect your final delivered photographs, which remain yours to keep (see “Delivery of Photos” and “Copyright & Usage”).
The gallery is a complimentary hosted service linked to your bookings. It is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other services.

6. Copyright & Usage

Opus Lumière retains full copyright and intellectual property rights to all photographs taken.
Clients are granted a non-commercial, personal-use license. Photos may be shared with friends and family or used on personal social media accounts (with credit where possible).
Commercial or editorial use is not permitted without prior written consent.

7. Image Use by Opus Lumière

Opus Lumière reserves the right to use selected images for promotional purposes, including but not limited to the business website, social media, and portfolios.
Clients may request in writing that specific images not be used publicly, and such requests will be respected where reasonable.

8. Force Majeure

If Opus Lumière is unable to perform the session due to circumstances beyond control (e.g. illness, injury, accident, extreme weather, or emergencies), the client will be offered:

A full refund of the deposit or
An alternative session date, based on mutual availability.

Opus Lumière shall not be held liable for any indirect loss or damages resulting from such cancellation or rescheduling.

9. Limitation of Liability

While every effort is made to ensure your satisfaction, Opus Lumière’s liability for any claim, breach, or loss shall be limited to the amount paid for the booked service.
Opus Lumière is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings during a session.

10. Acceptance

By proceeding with a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
