Do I get a 3D virtual gallery with my maternity session?
Yes, with any session of two hours or more. Your finished photographs hang in The Growing Gallery: a private, password-protected 3D gallery you walk through in your browser and share with family anywhere. It is free for two years from your most recent shoot, and your newborn session adds a floor. One-hour and 1.5-hour sessions don’t include it.
What should I wear?
Annie will advise you personally before the shoot. Fitted styles and flowing fabrics both photograph well — bring a few favourites and Annie will help you choose what suits your bump and setting. We don’t provide gowns.
Can I bring my partner or children?
Absolutely - and we’d encourage it. Couples and family maternity sessions capture connection a solo shoot simply can’t.
Studio or outdoor - which is right for me?
Studio offers controlled light and privacy; outdoor brings natural light and iconic London settings. Many clients choose a hybrid of both.
Do you offer newborn photography too?
Yes - many clients book maternity and newborn together for a seamless story from bump to baby, at a combined rate. Get in touch and we’ll put a package together for you.
What happens during a maternity photoshoot?
A relaxed, guided experience from start to finish. We create a calm, welcoming atmosphere, direct every pose and capture the moments in between - most clients say it’s far more enjoyable than they expected.
What if I need to reschedule?
That’s fine — here’s exactly how it works:
· 15 days or more before: we move your date for free, or refund your deposit in full.
· 7–14 days before: we move your date once for free, or refund half your deposit.
· 3–6 days before: we can move it once, for a fee of half your deposit.
· Less than 72 hours before: we can’t move or refund it.
If the change is because of your pregnancy, your baby or illness, the same rules apply — and you get priority when we rebook.
Will my maternity photos look professional?
Yes. We light, direct and retouch every frame, so your maternity photos look polished yet natural - never over-edited.
Is a maternity photoshoot worth it for a first baby?
Absolutely. A maternity photoshoot marks the start of a whole new chapter, and whether it is your first child or a new baby joining older siblings, it is once in a lifetime. These are the only weeks you will carry this new life, and a pregnancy photoshoot lets you hold onto them.

How do I choose the best maternity photographer in London?
Look at complete galleries rather than single images - anyone can produce one good frame. Check that the photographer shoots maternity regularly rather than occasionally, ask who will actually be there on the day, and make sure the price you are quoted includes the edited photographs rather than treating them as an extra. We are a team of two, Joy and Annie: Joy is behind the camera, Annie guides the theme, outfits and posing, and both of us are there on the day - the people you speak to are the people who turn up.
Is a pregnancy shoot in London different from a maternity shoot?
No - they are two names for the same thing. Some parents search for a pregnancy photoshoot, some for a maternity photoshoot, and a few for a bump photoshoot. The session, the timing and the pregnancy photography prices are identical whichever term you use.
