How your at-home session works
Pre-birth consultation
We start with a call before your due date to talk through your ideas and which rooms have the best window light. We’ll guide you on simple preparation - a quick tidy, curtains open, and the room kept warm (around 24–26°C) so your baby stays comfortable.
Session day
We come to you within the first two weeks - ideally 5 to 14 days - when newborns are sleepiest and most naturally curled. If you are planning ahead, our guide to when to book a newborn photographer explains why that window matters. The session runs two to three hours, entirely at your baby’s pace, using soft natural light from your windows; no flash. Dress your baby in a simple nappy or plain outfit, and have any heirloom blanket or soft toy ready.
Selection & delivery
You’ll receive a private proofing gallery within two to four days to choose your favourites; your hand-edited, high-resolution images then follow within two to four weeks of your selection. Optional prints, wall art and albums can be arranged afterwards.

Sessions & pricing
At-home sessions start from £395 for one hour and 20 hand-edited photographs. Most newborn sessions run two to three hours (£495–£595), to allow plenty of time for feeds, settling and your whole family - see our full pricing & booking for everything that’s included.
Every package includes a relaxed, fully guided session, a private online gallery and full rights to print and share your images. Optional prints, wall art and albums can be arranged afterwards. Do we need to prepare our home?
Only a little. Clear clutter from the rooms we’ll use - usually the nursery, main bedroom or living room - open the curtains for natural light, and keep the room warm (around 24–26°C). A quick tidy near the windows helps, but your home doesn’t need to be spotless; we’re photographing your family, not your housekeeping.
What if our home is small?
Any size works. Some of the most intimate images come from compact spaces - a parent beside a single bright window, siblings curled up on a bed. We use careful framing, soft focus and light to create clean, beautiful compositions in any room.
When should we book?
The loveliest, sleepiest images come at 5 to 14 days old, so we recommend booking during pregnancy - ideally your third trimester - and reserving a flexible window around your due date. Those first two weeks pass faster than you’d expect.
How do you keep our baby safe?
Safety comes first, always. Your baby’s head is supported and airway clear in every pose, with a parent within arm’s reach. Any shot that looks “unsupported” is created with composite editing - multiple frames with your baby fully held, merged afterwards.
