The most popular London register office for a reason: Portland-stone steps for the confetti, tall windows inside, and Marylebone’s mews and Regent’s Park ten minutes away for portraits. Ceremonies run to a tight schedule here, so we arrive early and work fast on the steps.

How a registry office wedding day usually runs
Arrive thirty minutes before the ceremony for the registrar’s interview; the wedding ceremony itself takes twenty to thirty minutes; then confetti on the steps, a walk to a nearby park or street for twenty minutes of natural, relaxed portraits, and on to lunch. Two hours of photography covers all of it; four hours takes you through the meal and the speeches. If the registrar limits movement during the vows, we agree what is allowed beforehand and plan around it.
