How your outdoor session works
Consultation & planning
We talk through your family’s style, the children’s ages and locations that mean something to you, then plan timing - usually around sunset for the best light. We also agree a weather backup date, so rain never causes any stress.
The session
Sessions last about one to two hours and feel like a walk together. We start with the whole family, then smaller groups and candid play, building in breaks and snacks so no one feels rushed - and no forced smiles.
Selection & delivery
You’ll receive a private proofing gallery within two to four days to choose your favourites; your hand-edited, high-resolution images then follow within two to four weeks of your selection. Optional prints, wall art and albums can be arranged afterwards.

Best London locations for family sessions
London’s green spaces are made for this. A few of our favourites:
Hyde Park - ancient trees, open lawns and sprawling greenery, one of the city’s most dramatic settings. Alexandra Palace - rolling lawns, woodland and panoramic city views, with variety in a single session. Greenwich Park - sweeping views across to Canary Wharf and the skyline.
Victoria Park - a picturesque boating lake, meadows and tree-lined avenues. Regent’s Park - the rose gardens feel a world away from the city. Kensington Gardens - wide lawns and mature trees, a natural choice in west London.

Outdoor family sessions start from £225 for one hour and 20 hand-edited photographs, with longer options at £325, £425 and £525 - up to four hours and 80 photographs. See our full family pricing for everything that’s included.

Outdoor family FAQ
What happens if the weather is bad on the day?
Light cloud or overcast skies are actually ideal - soft, even, flattering light. We only reschedule for heavy rain, thunderstorms or unsafe conditions, and rescheduling is then complimentary. We watch the forecast and decide together, usually 24 to 48 hours before, with your fee credited in full to the new date.
What should we wear?
Think coordinated, not matching - three or four complementary colours, with each person comfortable. Earthy tones and soft pastels sit beautifully against green parks and golden light. Avoid busy patterns and large logos, add a few layers for texture, and wear shoes suited to grass or trails.
Can we bring the family dog?
Often, yes - many London parks are dog-friendly and pets make for lovely, natural photographs. Just let us know in advance so we can plan the location and timing.
