What you pay for

What an outdoor photoshoot in London costs

An outdoor photoshoot London session starts at £225 for one hour and twenty hand-edited photographs. It is the most affordable way to be photographed with us, and for a couple or a single subject an hour is often plenty.

Two hours at £325 is the package most people choose. It buys forty photographs and, more usefully, the freedom to move - a park and a riverside stretch in one session rather than one spot worked hard. Three hours at £425 and four at £525 take you to sixty and eighty photographs, and start to make several locations across the city realistic.

Travel between locations happens inside your session time, so we plan the route with you beforehand to keep the walking short and the light good.

Why an outdoor session

Natural, vivid, full of life

Iconic landmarks

Be photographed against London’s most beautiful and recognisable backdrops.

Natural light

Soft daylight for a fresh, natural and timeless look.

Vibrant spaces

Parks, riverside and city streets full of life and colour.

Planning the day

Choosing when to shoot

Morning and late afternoon are kindest

We photograph throughout the day, but the hour after sunrise and the hour or two before sunset give the softest, warmest light. In a London winter that window is short and early; in June it is long and late. We plan your session around it.

The season changes the pictures more than the price

Bare trees and low sun in January produce a completely different set of photographs from July’s green and haze. Neither costs more. It is worth deciding which you actually want before you pick a date.

Rain is not a disaster, but it is your call

We keep an eye on the forecast. If the weather turns we will happily move you to another available date rather than push on and hand you eighty grey photographs.

Weekends are busier, in the frame as well as the diary

Popular parks and landmarks fill up on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. If you would like the backdrops largely to yourself, a weekday morning is the quiet option - and it is the same price.

Outdoor photography FAQ

Which locations can we use?

We love London’s parks, riverside and landmarks. Tell us your favourites and we will recommend the best spots and light.

What happens if it rains?

We keep an eye on the forecast and will happily reschedule to another available date if the weather turns.

What time of day is best?

We shoot throughout the day. Soft morning and late-afternoon light is especially lovely, and we will plan around your timing.

Can we use more than one location?

Yes, and from two hours upward it is usually worth it. Travel comes out of your session time, so we keep the locations close together and plan the order around the light.

Do you charge extra for travel within London?

Tell us where you would like to shoot and we will confirm any travel details when you book, so there are no surprises on the day.

What should we wear outdoors?

Layers, and shoes you can walk in. London light is cooler and less forgiving than studio light, so solid colours tend to photograph better than busy patterns, and something warm between shots is almost always welcome.

Is an hour long enough?

For one or two people in a single location, usually yes. For a family with young children, or for more than one location, two hours is the package that stops the session feeling rushed.
